We walk around with a savage mentality
Ready to dog a trollop out the minute they let their guard down
Savage as fuck in the flesh
We play Ringling Brothers as we juggle these women
Like Circus clowns
We add bodies to the list like multiplication charts
Two times two, four times four, yeah we slangin
But the minute they entertain one guy
Our fragile ego shrinks in size
David the Gnome labyrinth
We don’t know Witch Way Out
Nah
We are savages contained in
Underdeveloped thought processes
They walk around like Savages
Never realizing men have feelings
Because the men they know never learned how to convey
Ridiculed when displayed
He’s taught from adolescence feelings wasn’t needed
Flash forward to committed relationships
Girlfriend wondering where was his feelings contained when she needed it?
Him not even aware he missed the lesson
So both are labeled as savage by each other
And in society that was never set up for folks like them to succeed, anyway
We awake condemned to our pigments, slaves to our outside condition
Savage: a member of a people regarded as primitive and uncivilized
We are viewed as savage, double standards in abundance
He’s sexually free to express himself but she’s labeled as strumpet
She’s emotionally free to express herself but he’s labeled as frail
Two sides of the same damn coin in a system created to fail
We walk around with a savage mentality
Quick to tell a woman to smile
Like we are the sentinels of their facial structures
It’s the stench of the sexualization we think we have over
Bodies we don’t control

Lord, let her tell us NO
Then we really get offended
NO? Like we couldn’t comprehend
Then we really turn to savages
Walking around with a savage mentality
Never understanding that the menalited woman
Is our number one resource
I used to walk around savage
Committing two out of the three previous infractions
Living life with a savage mentality
Until that lifestyle and mindset caught up with me
And I ended up losing everything including the woman I worked so hard for
See the savage mentality is a temporary state
It was never meant to be a permanent place, brah
My thought is for you to see a glimpse into the savagery
So you don’t make the same mistakes I did.
